Apna school

12 May, 2015 New Delhi

In continuing with our initiatives at the Apna School – a school for economically weaker children- we have our western music visit the school on regular basis and teach some english rhymes and songs to the children. The children learn new words and english language in a fun filled manner.

We had Ms Nicola Haley and Jane Sherlock over from Rockferry Primary School, Wirral, U.K. These two teachers also visited the children at Apna School and spent time interacting with them. The gave many gifts like food, chocolates, stationery to these children and talked to them about personal hygiene.

The only hope for the slum children is that they must be treated as human beings. They must be given appropriate opportunity to explore the world, find their place in sun and be counted as real.
